Trinket the Dragon is here to look after your precious jewels, game dice and office supplies - what your little treasures are, this little dragon is happy to keep them safe!
The bowl and the dragon are made separately and are sewn together during assembly - this way the dragon will always be raised above the items in the bowl, sleeping on the pile of treasure. The dragon is made in pieces, and to get the tail to curve a half-double crochet stitch is worked in the middle of each round, forming the spine. After the dragon is assembled, a decorative row of crab stitches (reverse single crochet) is added along the spine, adding a bit of texture.
The instructions are written in US crochet terms. There are step-by-step photos detailing how to make the pieces and finish the toy. When made with DK weight yarn and 3.0mm hook the finished bowl will measure about 13cm/5in wide and the dragon will measure around 8cm/3in long when curled up.
